By accessing or using SabahBusiness.com.my, creating an account, submitting or claiming a business listing, purchasing a paid plan or advertising service, posting a review, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions together with our Privacy Policy, Disclaimer and any policies specifically presented for the relevant service.
Where a checkout, payment or submission interface requires confirmation, you must read and accept the applicable terms before completing the transaction or submission. If you do not agree, you should not proceed with that paid transaction or restricted service.
SabahBusiness.com.my is an independent, privately operated business directory and business discovery platform serving Sabah and W.P. Labuan. The geographic names used on the platform describe the areas served.
SabahBusiness is not a government website and is not affiliated with, operated by, endorsed by, or an official representative of the Sabah State Government, Federal Government, W.P. Labuan authorities, or any government ministry, department, agency or authority unless a specific relationship is expressly stated.
Registered users may be provided with a personal or business dashboard through which available account and listing functions can be managed. Dashboard tools, limits and features may differ according to account type, listing status and the Free, Basic, Premium or Gold plan selected.
You must provide accurate and current information and keep your login credentials secure. If you submit, claim or manage a listing on behalf of a business, you represent that you are the owner or have sufficient authority to act for that business. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, subject to applicable law.
Dashboard availability does not guarantee that every feature will always be available, and features may be introduced, modified, replaced or discontinued as the platform develops.
Business listings must be genuine, lawful, relevant and sufficiently accurate. Information, images, categories, descriptions, contact details and other materials submitted must not be misleading, fraudulent, unlawful or infringe the rights of others.
SabahBusiness may reasonably review, verify, reformat, correct obvious formatting issues, reject, suspend, unpublish or remove a listing for accuracy, safety, legal compliance, platform integrity or breach of these Terms or applicable policies.
Submission, approval or payment does not guarantee ranking, search position, traffic, views, enquiries, customers, sales, permanent publication or any particular commercial result.
SabahBusiness may offer Free, Basic, Premium, Gold or other listing packages. The price, duration, limits and included features of a paid package are those displayed on the relevant pricing, order or checkout page at the time of purchase.
Free listings may contain fewer features, controls, media options, promotional benefits or dashboard functions than paid listings. Paid plans may provide additional features or visibility according to the package purchased. Features are subject to reasonable technical, moderation and platform requirements.
Purchasing a higher-tier plan does not constitute an endorsement of the listed business and does not guarantee enquiries, customers, sales, revenue, ranking or business performance.
SabahBusiness may create or display basic business profiles using information submitted by users or information lawfully available from public or other permitted sources. A business owner or authorised representative may request to claim an eligible profile.
SabahBusiness may request reasonable evidence of ownership, employment, authority or control before approving a claim. A claim may be refused, suspended or reversed where verification fails, information is misleading, or a genuine ownership or authority dispute arises.
Claiming a listing does not automatically change its plan level or provide paid features unless the relevant paid service has been purchased and activated.
SabahBusiness may offer paid listings, featured placement, sponsored or promoted positions, banner advertising, Spotlight Ads, Top of Search Ads, Side of Listing Ads and other promotional services. The specific placement, duration, availability and price will be shown or agreed for the service concerned.
Advertising and promotional services are intended to provide additional visibility or placement only. Unless expressly stated otherwise, SabahBusiness does not guarantee impressions, clicks, views, ranking, enquiries, leads, conversions, customers, sales, revenue or any other business result.
Advertising content must be lawful, accurate and suitable for the platform. SabahBusiness may reject, pause or remove advertising that breaches these Terms, applicable policies or legal requirements.
Customers should review the selected plan or service, price, duration and included features before submitting an order. Prices and package features may be changed for future purchases. A change to future pricing does not by itself alter a paid service already purchased for its stated period, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
If a service is offered with renewal or recurring billing in the future, the applicable renewal arrangement must be disclosed at or before purchase. Where no recurring arrangement is stated, customers should not assume automatic renewal.
Where offered at checkout, payment may be made using the approved Maybank QR payment method or direct bank transfer to the recipient and account details displayed by SabahBusiness on the official payment page or invoice.
Before confirming a transaction, the customer is responsible for checking the payment amount, recipient name and account details shown by the banking application. Customers should keep their payment receipt or transaction confirmation and provide valid payment details or proof of payment when requested.
An order paid by QR or bank transfer may remain “Pending Verification” until payment has been confirmed by the SabahBusiness team. Payment verification and applicable listing, package or service activation will normally be completed within 24 hours after valid payment details or proof of payment have been received.
SabahBusiness may delay activation where payment cannot be matched, the amount is incorrect, proof is incomplete, a transaction is reversed or disputed, or further verification is reasonably required. Customers should not make payment to bank details supplied through suspicious or unsolicited communications that differ from the official checkout or invoice information.
Please review your selected plan, service, listing information, price and these Terms before payment. By proceeding with payment after being given access to the applicable terms, you confirm the order and request activation or supply of the purchased service.
Payments are generally non-refundable once the purchased digital listing, subscription, advertising, promotional service or other paid service has been activated, published, commenced, reserved or supplied. This may include change of mind, failure to use the service, lack of enquiries or sales, or voluntary removal before the end of the paid period.
This policy does not exclude, restrict or override any refund, remedy or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Malaysian law. Incorrect or duplicate charges, failure by SabahBusiness to supply an agreed paid service, and circumstances where a remedy is legally required will be reviewed and appropriately remedied.
SabahBusiness may allow reviews, recommendations, thanks, suggestions, questions and other user opinions. Such content represents the contributor’s views and not necessarily those of SabahBusiness.
Users should post genuine experiences and must not submit fabricated reviews, impersonation, spam, undisclosed promotional content, threats, harassment, discriminatory or unlawful material, confidential information, or statements they know are false or misleading. Businesses must not manipulate ratings or create fake consumer accounts.
SabahBusiness may moderate, restrict, hide or remove content to enforce these Terms, respond to credible complaints, comply with law, protect users or preserve platform integrity. We do not guarantee that every review is accurate, complete or independently verified.
You are responsible for content you submit and represent that you have the rights, licences, permissions or authority required to provide it. You must not upload copyrighted, trademarked, confidential or other protected material without sufficient permission.
By submitting content for publication, you grant SabahBusiness a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize, format, display and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, display, promote and improve the platform and the relevant listing, subject to applicable law.
Where SabahBusiness applies platform identification, formatting or a watermark to eligible listing media, this does not transfer ownership of the underlying user content to SabahBusiness.
You must not use SabahBusiness for fraud, unlawful activity, malware, unauthorised access, deceptive listings, impersonation, infringement, harassment, review or ranking manipulation, spam, or the promotion of illegal or prohibited goods, services or content.
SabahBusiness may maintain separate Listing Guidelines or safety policies containing additional restrictions. A listing or account may be restricted even if a prohibited activity is not specifically named here where publication would reasonably create legal, safety, fraud or platform-integrity concerns.
Directory information can change and may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. Users should verify important information directly with the relevant business before relying on it or entering into a transaction.
Terms such as claimed, verified, featured, premium, sponsored, promoted or Gold describe platform status, purchased features or a verification step only. They are not a guarantee of quality, safety, licensing, legality, performance, customer satisfaction or endorsement by SabahBusiness.
Where communication, enquiry, appointment, booking, lead or similar tools are made available, SabahBusiness provides the technical platform for users and businesses to communicate. Unless expressly stated otherwise, SabahBusiness is not the provider of the underlying business service and does not guarantee that a business will respond, accept an appointment, honour a booking or complete a transaction.
Users and businesses are responsible for the accuracy of communications and for independently confirming important appointment, quotation, booking, availability, pricing and service details.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, SabahBusiness provides directory, discovery and promotional services and is not a party to transactions between customers and independent listed businesses. Products, services, quotations, warranties, appointments, bookings, deliveries, payments and disputes between those parties remain their responsibility.
Users should exercise appropriate judgment before purchasing goods or services, making deposits, sharing information or entering into agreements with a listed business.
The SabahBusiness name, original website design, graphics, branding, database presentation and original platform content are protected to the extent permitted by law. Proprietary SabahBusiness material may not be copied, republished, commercially exploited or misrepresented without permission except where permitted by law.
Business names, logos, trademarks, photographs and other materials belonging to listed businesses or users remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.
Personal data used for accounts, enquiries, listing claims, payments, reviews and commercial interactions will be handled in accordance with the SabahBusiness Privacy Policy and applicable Malaysian personal data protection requirements.
Users must not scrape, harvest, sell, disclose or misuse personal information obtained through the platform. Where a business receives personal information through an enquiry or similar function, that business is responsible for handling it lawfully for the purpose for which it was provided.
SabahBusiness may use or link to third-party services such as payment providers, banking services, maps, email, analytics, video, social platforms or external business websites. Those services may operate under their own terms, privacy policies and availability conditions.
SabahBusiness does not control independent third-party websites or services and is not responsible for their content, security, availability or separate transactions, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted, continuously available or error-free operation. Maintenance, upgrades, hosting failures, security incidents, internet disruption and third-party integrations may temporarily affect the platform or particular features.
SabahBusiness may reasonably modify layouts, search functions, dashboard tools, listing features, categories, advertising formats and other platform functionality as the service develops. Where a material change directly affects an existing paid service, it will be handled reasonably and subject to applicable law.
SabahBusiness may suspend, restrict or terminate account access, refuse activation, or remove or unpublish content where reasonably necessary because of breach of these Terms, fraud, security risk, unlawful conduct, non-payment, charge reversal, misleading information, repeated credible complaints, abuse or legal or regulatory requirements.
Where appropriate, SabahBusiness may request clarification or corrective action before restoring an account or listing. Serious fraud, security or legal concerns may require immediate action.
If you believe a listing, review or other content is inaccurate, unlawful, infringes rights, impersonates a business, or otherwise relates to a legitimate dispute, contact SabahBusiness with sufficient details and supporting evidence for assessment.
SabahBusiness may request further information and may temporarily restrict disputed content while assessing a credible complaint. Submission of a complaint does not guarantee the outcome requested by either party.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SabahBusiness is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from reliance on third-party listing information, user reviews, dealings with independent businesses, external websites or interruption of the platform.
SabahBusiness does not guarantee that use of the platform, a paid listing or an advertising service will generate a particular financial or commercial result. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, statutory rights or remedies where Malaysian law prohibits such exclusion or limitation.
SabahBusiness may update these Terms to reflect changes to services, platform features, business practices or applicable requirements. The “Last updated” date will be changed when a revised version is published.
Material changes affecting existing paid services will be handled reasonably and subject to applicable law. Continued use of the platform after revised Terms take effect may constitute acceptance where permitted by law, but any additional consent specifically required by law will be obtained where applicable.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Subject to mandatory consumer rights, tribunal jurisdiction and any other rights or procedures that apply by law, disputes will be subject to the applicable courts and legal processes in Malaysia.
